Vishwanath Temple, also known as Kashi Vishwanath Temple, is one of the most prominent tourist places in Varanasi. It is dedicated to Lord Shiva, the presiding deity of the city. This temple is also called the Golden Temple because of its gold plating. The temple is surrounded by several shrines and narrow lanes filled with shops selling sweets, paan, handicrafts, and other trinkets. Kashi Vishwanath Aarti Time – Darshan is available from 4 am to 11 pm. The Annapurna Temple dedicated to the Goddess of Food and the Dandiraj Vinayak Temple dedicated to Lord Ganesha is both nearby and equally famous. The Jyotirlinga found here is called the 12th Jyotirlinga.
